Join us for an fun workshop where we will be building model boats over the weekend. Great for kids and adults who want to learn some basic boat building skills in a small package (the model is 34” long) and take home something beautiful to decorate the home or give as a Christmas gift.
The model makes is a great Christmas present because it is small enough to wrap but large enough to make it special; it is something you made with your own hands; and it will inspire more boatbuilding interest for the recipient.
The model is constructed by the end of class and ready for you to take home and paint.
What makes this model so cool is that you actually learn some basic skills and gain a really good idea of how the large boat goes together. This model is a 1/4-scale model of our most popular full sized kit, the Echo Bay Dory Skiff. Learn more about the model kits themselves and pricing as a separate item.
We start each day at 9am and go until about 3pm but you are free to stay until 4pm. The goal is to get your kit built or nearly built so you can go home finish details, paint and wrap up! This is an informal class and we can be flexible with daily schedules. I am always available after the class to answer questions you may have at home in your finishing process.
